Winnipeg would say no, they need Copp and don't need Risto.

Think that would depend on how free agency went, if the Jets were leaning towards protecting Rolovic/Harkins over Copp they might consider it and they only have two more years of control. Don't think we would need to send a pick there way though.

don’t send the pick then. you need defenseman, we need center depth. ristolainen for copp 1 for 1.

The Jets should absolutely be protecting Roslovic and Harkins over Copp.

I'd be down for this trade, Ristolainen is big and would be better on the PP then Pionk. I know the Jets need centers too but whatever, Copp bores me and he's no 2C so who cares.. Lol

Right now though, the Jets need centers more than defenseman and Risto is too expensive for a bottom pairing guy anyways.

Since when have players that haven't ever managed to score 50 points been this valuable?

I guess then it would depend on how much and how the Jets search goes for a 2C this off season. Maybe.

mantha is a power forward...hard to find players like that...he’s entering his prime and has so much potential...pop him in next to a top 5 center and he’ll score 70 points

Mantha over his last 82 games has 30G and 42A. It would require 8OA + or Cozens to be even tempted to deal him.

I see a hypothetical potential better deal out there like
Carolina pick 13 and Bean, Bokk/Suzuki
Pittsburgh pick 15 and Poulin, Légaré
Bc Buffalo doesn’t have prospects to offer, that’s why I bring up a future 1st

Yeah not enough to move Mantha. 8th overall a good starting point but Wings would need to another high end asset (another 1st or Cozens) to pull the trigger

Well let's see Detroit has absolutely no intention of trading Mantha they can ask for whatever they want. Does that work for you?

Obviously you can ask for anything you like, but there should be some basis for it...

I could offer a 7th rounder for Kucherov but you know just as well how ridiculous that sounds. And imo 8th overall pick and a first from a year ago for a player with Mantha's statistics and a bad contract cap dump seems a tad heavy price.

But since @BStinson actually provided me a decent explanation I'm not whining about the issue any more. I'd recommend that for you as well.
