Would a deal around Parayko for Huberdeau interest Florida?

Florida needs players but I see them making smaller deals a guy like kerfoot or johnsson in Toronto or nylander in Chicago to help to replace the offense dadanov and Hoffman leaving.

It's weird how Parayko is apparently worth Matthews when TO is in the conversation but Huberdeau is worth it.

It's weird how Toronto fans apparently think that teams with good RHD can only deal with them. Please kick rocks.

If Huberdeau can get Parayko, how does Nylander not? Very similar progressions for those two players but one is younger.

First off, I said around, not straight up and I want to gauge interest. Second, last year JH scored 92 points and was on pace for the same this year. If I’m not mistaken, Nylander played primarily with Tavares and JH played primarily with Barkov. Offensively, the edge probably goes to Tavares there.

It took Huberdeau 6 seasons to break 60 points. Nylander did it in his first 2 seasons. Who's to say that Nylander doesn't score 90+ a few times? He's without a doubt an offensive force. He's also 3 years younger and has more term. It's always funny that young guys have big value only when it's convenient.

As for you 6 seasons till 60 points, in his 21 and 22 year old seasons, JH scored 54 & 59 points so it’s not like he was struggling. JH also is on a cheaper deal and has produced on much worse teams. I think JH is a better fit for the Blues as Nylander just seems soft and like someone that Chief would keep in the dog house. Nylander may continue to improve and prove me wrong, but right now there is very little doubt in my mind that JH is more valuable. I like to think most people around the league would agree.

So young players only progress for other teams, yeah that is the typical response on here. No leaf player is worth anything because none will get better with age and all are overpaid. Cool story

My point is that on this site, young players will get better, unless they are on TO. Any player is worth a return unless it involves TO and then it's an overpay or they have to overpay. It's just a common bias

Because his most recent 2 seasons. In Nylander's first 4, he comparably has been better. What's to say he won't continue to progress?

He cycles better than just about anyone else on the team, that is blatantly incorrect. He's strong down low, he also goes to the net and he's learning to back check more
