Initial Creation Date: Aug. 23, 2020

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Habs complete the reset by dealing Domi and Tatar for younger players. They can compete in 20-21 with a solid defense and progression from Suzuki and KK. Before the 21-22 season, Beckman and Caufield can be inserted into the top-6, while Ylonen can play on the 3rd line. With these moves and the amount of picks in the next 2 drafts, habs should be serious contenders in 22-23.

So we basically trade Domi and a good prospect for 2 3rd liners and a 2nd?

STL is an easy no. COL is an easy no, Calvert isn’t a cap dump because COL doesn’t have cap issues and he is a valuable bottom 6 guy, no way are you getting Timmins a 1st and Calvert for 1 yr of Tatar, a d prospect that has played a grand total of 37 games in the last 2 years and a 4th. Holy over pay Batman.

Avs probably don't even respond with a courtesy no.
- No to Timmins straight up for 1 year of Tatar, especially since they score plenty of goals.
- No chance they give up a 1st for Juulsen who is at best an older more injured Timmins
- Solid No to Calvert for a 4th. His absence in the lineup has been immediately noticeable in last years playoffs and this last game.
