I know Larsson had a trash post season. So did every defencemen. Larsson is one of our best shut down d men. He plays a vital role on the Pk and team defence all around. I don’t think it’d be wise to trade him. Nurse is egregious at Defence. Bears all right. Klef is good but more of a breakout/offence guy. That leaves us with Larsson,Benning,Russell & Jones as shut down. What happens when Bouchard comes up? Bouch is strictly offence. I’ve watched tape and he is awful in his own zone. Do you really want a right side of Bear Bouchard and Benning? I think it would be wise to hold onto Larsson. Besides we don’t need Kapanen or Johnsson. With Benson & Puljujarvi joining the club ( or so it seems ) we are ok with forwards. Even if AA doesn’t resign we can still trade him. Remember when Eberle got traded cuz he had a bad post season? Well look now. I get a disappointing loss but being trigger happy is a chiarelli reaction.

I don't think a Larsson trade would be because of a bad postseason like eberle's was, it would be because the past two seasons he hasn't been playing up to expectations. I don't think he has a future on this team and if he plays out his contract he likely will leave in free agency. That's my rationale behind trading him. An AA trade on the other hand would be because of a bad post season, and I don't think that would be a good move at all.
