I do like Nylander but Devils aren't giving 7th overall for him, sorry.

Big NOPE from the red wings! Bracco is pretty much worthless now Smith can actually still play and contribute to some NHL games next year.

Murray for Andersen, 4th

Pittsburgh counters with Murray for Andersen and three 1sts. Simply because they are tired of this idiotic trade suggestion that was made up by whatshisface who stated that he made it up when he made it up. It makes ZERO sense for Pittsburgh.

If you don't like Andersen and 3 1sts... second offer is Murray and Johnson for Nylander @50% and a 2nd.

How many times must Maple Leafs fans be told that the Pens dont want Anderson. If yall want MM guve us something we can actually use rather than just giving us your spare parts.

Wings decline. Bracco’s a better player at the moment but seems like a locker room cancer. Smith doesn’t have crazy high upside but will be a solid bottom 6 guy

Offence will need to be downgraded in the short term to balance out the back-end. AP is solid at both ends of the ice.

The pick for Nylander eventually replaces him, and with an ELC for three years.

Andersen may be the better goalie but he is a UFA after next season and Toronto won’t be able to afford the cap hit on his next contract.

Fair enough. The thought process is that Yzerman may feel that trading for a skilled guy with a higher upside may be worth giving up a guy like Smith. Toronto is trying to bolster their depth while trading away a guy that has requested a trade due to the fact that his team doesn’t have room on the roster for another guy of his skill set.

Andersen is the better goaltender in my opinion. Only reason Toronto makes this move is because of his pending UFA status after next year. They will not be able to afford the cap hit on his next contract. Referring to him as a “spare part” is a pretty ignorant comment, respectfully speaking.

NJ wouldn’t be interested in a sure thing, in exchange for a player who has not played a single game in the NHL yet? Nylander immediately helps retool NJ with a skill set and position of need. He is also coming off a 30 goal season in 60 games, is still just 23 years young and is signed for multiple years on a cost-friendly contract. Nylander was also a former 7th overall pick. NJ has pieces in place to be able to compete sooner rather than later. Nylander helps now, the 7th overall will likely take a few years to contribute.

He would be a spare part in Pittsburgh. Jarry is the future and for the pens to give up the younger cheaper goalie to take on an impending UFA for jist a 4th is ludicrous. Id rather not have Anderson amd take slmething back that the pens will use more than 20-30 games.

I see where you are coming from. Jarry still hasn’t played 200 NHL games, so you don’t necessarily know what you have in him for certain, at this point. I could see Andersen excelling even further with a team that supports him better. Maybe the pick could be optional and become a higher selection under the conditions that Andersen doesn’t resign, or the Pens don’t make it past the 2nd round of next year’s playoffs? If a deal involving Andersen and Murray can’t appease both sides, Toronto could also just sign a UFA goalie and trade Andersen for picks/prospects somewhere else. Just doing this for fun based off the rumours.. lol.

Bracco is an AHL player at best. With all the injuries they had this season and Bracco didn't get called up once. He's 23 and has been in the AHL for 3 years and has never seen NHL ice.

Hard to make that claim when he hasn’t been given the chance. This is why he wants a trade, should have been given a look. He’s not suited for the 4th line and has been stuck behind Marner, Nylander, Kapanen.

Not really he won't go to the dirty areas on the ice and that's been his problem most of his career. That still leaves the 4th line RW spot open. You also have Nylander who only played 54 games last season because of his hold out. Engvall has played 44 games mostly playing RW but he is a LW. if Bracco was any good after 3 years in the AHL he would've been called up at least once or maybe even traded. He's an AHL player at best.

Couple things.. the Nylander hold out was the year before last. Bracco was the MVP of the Marlies Calder Cup run that year... also, Engvall played more as a LW/C than he ever did as a RW for the Leafs last year. Bracco had an off year in the A last year after having an excellent one the year prior but I think it was due to a beef that he felt he should get a roster spot and a spot was not made for him. There was talk that he requested a trade and he actually stopped playing for the Marlies before the deadline and didn’t come back before the Covid stoppage. He may be a career AHL’er but he may also not be. Too soon to say at this point, in my opinion. You are also entitled to your opinion as well, it just doesn’t seem to be a well informed one.
