The Devils are not trading away their only NHL caliber RW and proven scorer for yet another LW.

Didn't we already try this back in 2017 when we went out and got Dwight King, Steve Ott, and Andreas Martinsen. It didn't work then and we got very far with skill and speed this year.

So you compare King/Ott/Martinsen with Meier/Greenway?? lol

When you say we got very far this year, 24th isn't what I use to say ''very far''. Plus, in the playoff, the only thing that missed to habs was a little more size to win more battles. Habs did shoot a lot from periphery but didn't reach the front of the net very often because they were pushed too easily by flyers defense. That was the difference in this serie.

If you upgrade Mete to someone more suitable to us, maybe we consider accepting. Very competitive offer though. I’d be tempted to take this as is. But like I said we don’t need Mete - we’d rather have another good forward or a pick.

The Habs outplayed the Flyers. Size didn't matter, luck did. We outshot them, we out scored them, and 6 goals went in off of Habs defensemen. That's just unlucky. We would've ended up playing Tampa which we would've lost too because we don't have as many and as skilled players as them. We pulled through being the 24th team in a 24 team bracket and ended up almost winning two rounds, that's a success in my books compared to missing the playoffs last year.

I didn't compare King and Ott to Greenway and Meier, I just said that trading away our future to "get bigger" isn't gonna help us. We need to build off of our core and grow our foundation to become a structured, skilled, cup contender.
