not necessarily. This is a 2 way deal for the first 2 years so he will likely be playing the majority of that time in Providence

I've heard rumors that Tuukka will play the final year of his contract and then retire. They are unconfirmed, but him sitting out the playoffs (and the reason why) strengthens the potential validity.

Rask squashed those rumors earlier this year. This signing has zero affect on Rask. Vladar needed a new deal and will probably split time next year in Providence with Swayman. More than likely he'll be the first call up next year if Rask or Halak go down. Good young goalie and probably the #2 goalie prospect for Boston.

You had him at 925k for 2 years on all of your recent Bruins ACGMs, I had him at 750k for 3 years all along wink

Pretty promising prospect, in my opinion. Great numbers and 6'5". Cant ask for much more from a 23 y.o. Halak's current contract expires after next season, so the timing couldn't really be much better. Vladar will def. get a golden opportunity to crack the Bruins lineup.
