Kings have no use for Dermott. He's too inexperienced to play the veteran role that the Kings are looking to fill via UFA this Fall, and he's not an upgrade over Anderson. He could potentially be a better option than Clague, but the Kings aren't going to trade Lizotte for a guy pegged for the bottom pairing.

Would picks for Lizotte be preferable for LA? Ive seen a bunch of Kings AGMs moving him since there may not be space for him on the roster with how many Cs they have. Kopitar, Vilardi, Turcotte, Iafallo, Carter, Kempe, Byfield/Stutzle are all C options who could be in the NHL next season plus prospects like Thomas, Kupari, etc.

I was expecting this response from EDM fans tbh. I get that this leaves you pretty thin on RD unless Bouchard is a stud right out of the gate. Leafs could probably add more if needed, or could drop Larsson from the deal

Bear would have to be the centerpeice to a Nylander deal - without him theres no incentive for TOR to move Nylander. Instead we could drop Larsson and maybe modify the pick swap

Possibly. They're pretty happy with Lizotte right now and have an immediate need for him in the lineup. The only other NHL-ready bottom-six center they have is Amadio. Not sure they'd want to give him up for a draft pick. Maybe at the deadline next season if JAD, Turcotte, or Madden step up?

Then the Oilers say no. 22 year old top 4 RHD who’s probably gonna get a deal under 3M is worth more than Nylander.
