Every team looking to shed cap will be knocking on OTTAWA's door. They have loads of cap space, but not very many roster spots. The value here seems good, but we'll have to see if another desperate team is willing to give more. It's certainly a fair offer though.

The lack of term for Gaudreau and Monahan is a turn off for a dumpster fire team like Buffalo who would struggle to keep either guy. We would not get a better offer than this for sure though. Having said that they would only pull the trigger on this if he flat out asked for a trade for the reason I laid out in the first sentence.

Buffalo fans in genereal haven't been easy on Eichel trades. They consider him "untradeable". It's sad though because there's no way he'll start winning in Buf. He'll end up moving for less if Buff isn't careful.
Seeing Eichel + Hall vs McDavid + Draisaitl in the battle of Alberta would be epic

Kassian is a goon who isn't good enough in the NHL unless he plays with 97. But then again anyone could make the NHL in that case.
Not a fan of M. Tkachuk. He's a dirty player and Karma bit him in the a$$ these playoffs.

If your trading for Eichel, at least have the audacity to add Tkachuk as the starter. Then we will take Monohan to replace the loss at Center. Add the rest and that's a lot better team. No one wants 2 players who could walk away in a couple years and a bunch of draft picks that are going to be late. Put it this way, Eichel needs to have a top player coming back the other way like Tkachuk, Tkachuk is an RFA which mean team control for more than 2 years. Idk what you think but this offer is good, but it doesn't make the sabres a better team, it just locks us up with cap, and we lose quality down the middle. Eichel is also not a 90 point winger, wtf. He's a 100 point plus center....making 10million which is a great fricken contract 😅

i agree with u about kassian, i like watching tkachuk drive him crazy, but tkachuk dirty!, he was involved in a fluky injury where SCHEIFELE was 2 scared 2 get hit & tryed 2 twist out of the way, & then he got speared intentionly in the groin, thats not really the same thing

Talk about over value much.
Cant wait to see Eichel demand a trade when Buffalo ****s the bed for another season, he's a great player but he's not worth an entire 1st line + multiple A/B prospects and picks... NOBODY has been traded for that value.

Also just an FYI:
Eichel is not a 100pt center, he's never had more than 82 pts in a season.

I guess we should say Johnny is a 150 pt winger then.

Agreed - that almost seems to be a bit too much for him.

Johnny, Mony, 1st, and defenceman (not Valimaki) might do it.

If he demands a trade this is different, he hasn't yet...so overpay or walk out. Look at eichels projection for last year. He was projected to have 95 points. He would probably have had more because just before the break the sabres where getting healthy again. I don't want Gaudreau Matt and Sean. Just Sean and Matt, and maybe take away one of the firsts. But you have to have young players in team control, who are established coming back for Eichel. Also. The highest valued by cap hit to be traded is Subban, we have never had someone be traded like Eichel in recent years.

Come on you are sounding like a Fox or CNN reporter now. You know I'm referring to no one want them in return for a Center like Eichel. I'm not saying that this isn't good value but its not realistic value when it comes to a Top 5 center under 25. I think honestly though that Monohan would be an awesome addition for the sabres but without giving Eichel up. What is his value. I mean 60 points is decent but is he good defensively? I haven't watched him alot.

Monahan - Top 10 in goals scored last 5 years combined.
Gaudreau - Top 10 in points last 5 years combined.

Eichel not on either list.

With that being said Eichel is good, but he's not worth what you're clamoring for plain and simple.
Flames aren't giving up their entire team + future for 1 guy, nor is Buffalo trading Eichel.

But he will ask to leave should Buffalo continue down this path, he's already publicly chastised the team/organization by voicing his displeasure.

The Scheifele hit was fine, I don't think that was bad. I'm talking about other/multiple instances throughout his first 3 years. Like the Doughty one. He's got other cheap shots coming down for sure. His brother Brady is cleaner than he is.

Yes, he has had a couple lapses here and there, but when he's on his game his defensive game is pretty nice. With better linemates he would be better. Also, he's one of the top3 best possession driving players, which helps his defense. Him McDavid and Barzal when I checked last where the top 3 players for spending time with the puck in the ozone.

I dont agree with the top goals and points thing, 2 years ago people could have said the same about Nathan MacKinnon when he was just having his first ppg season. Now look at him.

I agree with the trade stuff, and if they don't start turning the team around/GET NEW OWNERS IN BUFFALO I will have to change my username.

I mean, you don't have to agree with it but its fact and the evidence backs it up. Feel free to look this up yourself, its a stat they've played on Sportsnet constantly since the Flames were eliminated after faltering to Dallas.

You can choose to ignore facts all you want, doesn't make your stance any more legit unfortunately.

I don't disagree with the facts, I disagree with that being enough evidence to say that Eichel isn't worth more.
