Amazingly almost exactly what my AGM estimates were - I predicted $2.85Mx2, so I'm pretty thrilled it was that close lol.

Great trade for DET to get middle six depth and he worked wonders there. Right idea with the bridge deal. Hopefully he improves and doesn't decline.

It's not like DET has any cap issues so the deal will be fine.

Same here! Was going 2.875x2 in mine. Figured it would come in just under 3 million.

Yzerman is too smart of a guy to give a player like Fabbri coming off his breakout season big bucks for big term. I’m a supporter of bridge deals, this is that at it’s best

u like Robberies well it kind of went full circle. Blues robbed a team (O'Rielly) then got Robbed (Fabbri) lul.

Perfect bridge deal. In two years, Yzerman will have a better idea of whether Fabbri is part of the future core or not.

Never been a fan of Fabbri surprised he's even still in the league with all his injury history.

good signing glad the change of scenery benefitted him. He fits in with DET much better than STL

A little more money than I would have thought but for a 2 year bridge deal on a team that has no cap issues it's fine. Curious to see if he can stay healthy/match his production from last year

I new as soon as that trade happened we had just gifted you a future top 6 player for a scratched player, Fabbri is gonna go off next season if he is still playing in the top 6

Could be waiting a long time. After all the Pegula's own the team and like meddling a lot.

😑 'we know more than the fans about some stuff'...fires Botts after saying we will keep him... Can the NHL kick out owners who are ruining their franchises?

Because Fabbri becomes a UFA at the end, this is actually pretty bad for DET if they want to keep him for a while. The cost is right, and the length would be perfect if Fabbri was still an RFA, but because that's not the case, they better hope that he loves it here.

It’s not bad at all for Detroit. It was always going to be a two year deal. And he does love it in Detroit.

Well, that's good. If DET expects him to stay, then it's still risky (see: Tavares, John), but it'll certainly help their chances even if they remain terrible for the next couple of seasons.

This is not bad, could look bad as he is a UFA as this expires.
Still not a bad idea to be cautious.

Take it from a Blues fan, dude's got talent. His skating and hands are to die for. When he's healthy and on, he's a potential top-line scorer (did you see the 15-16 postseason?) and Detroit know this. The issues are twofold.

1: He's had massive scoring droughts in the past. He's a bit too inconsistent.

2: He's made of porcelain. He can't stay healthy to save his life. Detroit has been lucky so far with his health, but when will that luck run out?

He's very boom or bust. I'm erring on bust, but that's because I've seen him miss the better part of half his playing career with injuries.
