Cap under 70m. Thoughts?

Created by: Jded

Description
So here are my thoughts:
The ducks have too many NHL ready dmen (only because they don't have the cap space to support it) so at least 1 has to go.
I refrain from Lindholm because he is the future for the Ducks, and I honestly believe he'all be an elite #1 Dman, though of course there's no way of knowing.
Vatanen complements the long-term option in Lindholm as an offensive minded puck-mover and PP specialist on a fair contract
Manson and Theo add a lot of value and more importantly are on such cheap contracts that the ducks realize no gain by trading them
Despres would make sense to trade, as his contract is not cheap, and he has had injury problems lately, however I personally think if he can remain healthy he is a great line mate to Vatanen, rounding out his small stature and offense-first mentality with a big body and Defense-first mindset. Also, his trade value is low right now due to health concerns, and I believe after a full year without health issues he will be well worth his contract and could be kept or traded for a higher value.

Stoner is a dump, with Kerdiles involved to provide incentive. He's still a sound top 6 Dman, but is overpaid and therefore more of a detriment to his team.

Detroit has more forwards than they know what to do with. Mantha is a high end prospect, but the same can be said for Montour who fills a hole in Detroit, as a young promising Dman. I'm not happy to let go of Montour, but young dmen are not a huge concern, and Larsson will be ready to make the NHL leap in a season or two anyways (hopefully).

Fowler deal looks alright. Curious to know Montour's background. Haven't heard much of anything about him, but I am familiar with Mantha.

Montour is very good. In a year or 2 he will be playing in some teams top 4 as a right handed shot.

Yeah musrt be futures? I don't think its enough to take on Stoner myself.
Is Dano and a 2nd all it would take to get Fowler? Seemed like Ana fans want more

WPG may not be a fit for Fowler, but I'm sure many teams will be interested and would pony up a comparable package. The key for ANA is getting a cheap, top-9 forward in return

I think Ana would want Petan as well in that deal.

Really 68 games 31 points for Marko Dano how does he bring any experience to Anaheim. Sorry but Dano for Fowler is a bad deal for Anaheim all way around.

Look deeper into Dano's game for once in your life. His even strength scoring is very good. He has gotten no PP time.

Nobody is going the other way because it's a salary dump. I'd trade stoner alone for nothing but due to his expensive contract and decent dmen out there as free agents (Kris Russel for example), he likely has negative value. That's why I included Kerdiles to essentially make a negative valued stoner about even. I'd love something back, maybe a 6th rounder to replace the lack of one this upcoming draft, but I'm trying to be conservative.

I don't see what experience has to do with this trade at all. The Ducks have enough experience in their Veterans, right now they're itching for cap relief and top 9 wingers. The Fowler trade accomplishes that, at least in my opinion.

I'd loove Petan in that trade as well. Just trying to be reasonable about expectations and cap
