Habs don't need Taylor Hall or else they wont have cap space t resign Gallagher, KK, Danault and the following season Suzuki and Romanov.
Wings aren't trading Mantha because he's still very young and part of their rebuild. The rest of the trades are bad for the Habs.

Why would Detroit accept this trade ?

$9M for Taylor Hall... I know he got the Hart a few years ago but excluding that year he's more likely to be a PPG at best.

Lehkonen is amongst the best 3rd line shutdown guy you can find in the NHL. Yes he struggles offensively but I would trade Byron before even thinking of Lehkonen. And plus.. you trade him for a center - in which we already have a lot. Heck we are trading Domi because we can't find him a place at center in our lineup

Wings would not accept. How does this make them better, the trade their only NHL Goalie and top Winger and get Domi and pieces.
