Description
I think the Penguins got fleeced in this Kapanen trade, but oh well. At least they are sending the message that they want to be a fast offensive team for next season. We'll see if that pays off.

We’re not giving Bennett OR our 1st for Murray when we could sign Lehner, Markstrom, Holtby, or Talbot for cheaper, what makes you think we’d give up both?

Flames don't add an extra first to the the deal.

Columbus has no reason to help the Penguins with that trade.

Kap is a 3rd line player. His offense comes off the rush. He's not a goof fit on the cycle game played by Sid and Geno. Fair Market Value was paid for Kap, but it was paid by the wrong team!!!

Yep agree, that's what I was thinking as well. He's a straight-line player. Putting him w/Sid is particularly not good.

I don't have any arguments for why a team should claim him. All that I can say is, I hope a GM is dumb enough to do it, but I doubt Rutherford even considers to waive.

He’s a pretty good prospect. Excellent in terms of defensive play, is physical & an in your face of player who grinds & retrieves pucks in the dirty areas. He’s not the most skilled & he’s quite slow, but I feel he’s a guy Toronto could use.

I think I'd rather have Joshua Maniscalco than Trevor. And I'd rather have better face off centres for our bottom lines.
