I wouldn't have given a 1st for Kap but I wouldn't give Kap for Gieorgiev either. A 2nd would be a maybe. Goalies are so hard to predict and Gieorgiev has been brilliant sometimes and sometimes not that great. There is a reason he was the odd man out in NYR

He's better than Andersen and Askarov is gone. Schneider isn't NHL ready so I don't see the positive there.

Nothing makes me hesitant on Georgiev, per se, the hesitance is more on the cost, trade wise. If anybody asked me if I think the Leafs should be interested in him, my answer would be a resounding yes, but I personally wouldn't overpay for any goalie (it's such a fickle position, which is a good reason why they don't carry much trade value), let alone one who's never broken the 40 game mark.



Not better than Andersen. Askarov very well could be there at 15. The upside to drafting pretty much any prospect is what they can be in the future, not their ability to immediately succeed at the NHL level.
