sabres pass on this deal. Bracco is worth nothing and we aren't interested in Johnnson at 3.4 million let alone at 5 when you factor in the retention on Ristos contract

I do agree I maybe lost that trade but tbh Ristolainen hasn't help buffalo make the playoffs and I thought that they maybe needed a shake up and bracco may turn into a top 6 forward he hasn't really had a chance in Toronto and I do agree Johnnsons contract is pretty bad but if he plays well on the second line you never know

Risto makes no sense for the Leafs, more of what they have and none of what they need.

He'll fetch something from a team that doesn't acknowledge is defensive inefficiency, but can't see the analytic Dubas having a high opinion on him.

You could say Eichel hasn't helped the sabres make the playoffs that doesn't mean the sabres should trade him. Regarding Johnsson the Sabres have 4 LW they would play ahead of him, Skinner, Oloffson, Kahun and Johannson. Risto was decent this year with an actual defensive structure in place for our for the first time in years. If we cannot add players to fill a need for him we will just keep him.

I honestly have no issue with this lineup other than bringing Vesey back but you have him on the 4th line so I could live with that
