Nope
WPG are ready to do Vesalainen + 10th OA vs Danault extend
Your offer isn’t near that
Start with Merkley + TB 2020 1st and add

Yeah Top 5ish best defensive forward in the league / 2C with almost no holes in is game will cost a lot ( he needs more offense ).

At that absurd price, why doesn’t Montreal just keep him cause that’s insane.

I don't deny that! But the whole "start with Merkley + a 1st rounder and then add from there" just made me genuinely lol...

I would do Danault vs Vesalainen + 10th OA
I would have keep him but he doesn’t want to play behind Suzuki and Kotkaniemi so he rather play somewhere else on the top 6. That’s what he said yesterday during an interview

I’m sorry, but if a player comes out and says that you aren’t getting a premium package. Hell I doubt even fair market value simply because of leverage and the tendency of gm’s not wanting to keep guys who don’t wanna be there because they feel it creates a toxic situation. Honestly though that sucks because from what I’ve seen he seems like a real solid center and someone a championship team has to complement their big centers. Unfortunate he isn’t willing to do that in Montreal. Good luck to your team bud.

I always thought Danault would be the perfect 3C behind Suzuki and Kotkaniemi, give him a type of contract like Pageau/Nelson ( 6 years ~5.5M ) and have a shutdown 3rd line with Lehkonen on the LW and Armia next year on the RW ( Ylönen took over Armia in 2021-2022 ). We’ll see what happen, but a lot of team will be interested in Danault ( BUF WPG CGY DAL and I can keep going )

Why does Montreal trade him anyway and the trade you made for Danualt barely matches Domi's value like what
