Like the shake up on D and Mike Smith a sneaky good cheap signing to split duties with Sammy for one year.

Lundkvist adds to the lack of RHD depth we have and capitals can draft ... 2x in the 1st round in a deep draft... fill the pool while competing. Also overpaid for Mittelstadt but if he can actually hit his ceiling its totally worth it

MAJOR overpay for Orlov. Not the type of player that fits into where the Rangers are right now. I doubt the Rangers would trade Lundkvist straight up for Orlov, let alone the first round pick. I am sure WAS would love to get that kind of return though.

I really like what you did here (the values are a bit off especially on the Rangers one) but this is good. The d-corps are better, the offence is too. However, I would go for a better backup than smith. Maybe khudobin? Or greiss? Maybe trade for Hutton if he comes back?

Orlov is a top pairing D? thats pretty much the return for him lol.... 1st and a prospect. Rangers might be the weakest team inthe NHL at LHD.... logically it would make sense to add to an area of weakness.

yeah a late first and a prospect is too much for a top pairing Dman with team?

Why you guys gave up 1st and a good NHL ready D man for Trouba..... and Trouba wasnt signed.... seems like the exact same trade only difference is Orlov ... greatly improves your LSD and maybe Trouba will look good not playing with SMith

Pionk wasnt in the same category of upside as Nils by a mile. And Trouba was much higher value player than Orlov at the time of deal.

so poink isnt a really solid NHLplayer right now? im positive you are misinformed.... im dont feel like arguing with you and the fact you have average at best season tickets doesnt make you knowledgeable just saying lol. i laugh and hang up on you for not understanding the value of a top pairing D man.... smile

Also as far as Upside (https://dobberprospects.com/) doesnt have him as being anything too crazy Lundkvist is rated 8.0....thats exactly the same as Hajek and less than Miller.... for example untouchable elite prospects like Mcmichael will have ratings of 9.5 not 8... Fehérváry is younger and rated 9 Alexeyev younger and rated 8.5. just saying this kid with massive upside isnt rated as an A+ untouchable D man at the age of 20..... JUST SAYING lmfao

Lundkvist just put up the most points for and under 20 defenseman in the SHL. Producing more than Dahlin, Erik Karlsson, etc. I’m not saying he’s a sure fire to become them, but he is not a prospect you give up at all.
Orlov may be better than all LHD on the rangers, but he isn’t really a top defenseman. If Lundkvist is going (especially with a 1st rounder in a deep draft- bother Miller and Lundkvist, two top 50 nhl prospects were after 20) it’ll be for a sure fire elite top tier defender

To the Rangers? Nothing. They are not in the market for a soon to be 30 year old defenseman with a $5.1 mil cap hit. They just got rid of a 26 year old defenseman with a $5.25 mil cap hit. To a team that is in the market? A first round pick in the 20-30 range or a second round pick and a prospect. Although considering what PIT just gave up for Kapanen, I suppose WAS could get more from PIT. Or wait and see if Chiarelli lands somewhere.

Lundqvist isn’t just any prospect, he is a top prospect. Make it a b prospect and sure it makes sense. That said, skjei was traded straight up for that first so o don’t think you will get too much more for orlov

Dobber is notoriously bad with their rankings imo. I would say lundqvist is at least at alexeyev’s level. That said, if you don’t think he’s that good then value is fine tbh. Maybe add a 3rd going back but other than that it’s fine if you aren’t high on lundqvist

not gonna argue that it could add a little something here or there but to be a Dbag and say "they laugh and hang up" is just an arrogant/unintelligent take (you didnt do it)

Oh for sure. Unfortunately it’s not uncommon. I mean it wasn’t that far off. That said, ny fans are very high on lundqvist so there’s that. I mean a simple “downgrade the prospect” would be good imo. I think that the 2020 1st straight up is good for orlov though. I wouldn’t expect much more if I were you. That said, I would try to get buffalo to retain on miller and keep him over Dillon instead.

imo Seattle takes miller Dillion or Oshie and thats how we free up cap space....i just wanted to have a strong roster to try to win the cup 20-21. im high on Alexeyev but if lets say wild offered me Brodin with the exact same contract i would trade him and a 1st
