Domi does not get you Nylander. Domi is a better Kapanen, good player, has skill and some grit but is inconsistent and is never going to be more than a middle 6 winger. He's a 40-50 guy which is good but he's also going to want too much on his next contract. Nylander is twice the player.

The Domi trade

And hoestly the trades make limited sense.

Marincin has more value to the Leafs than to the market, he does not cost much, so there is no reason to trade him

could is always a great word.

every team could be interested, depending on the price.

Domi for Kerfoot plus a pick (not a 1st, probably not even this years second, yes, Domi for Nylander, not even close

Yeah seriously. What is that trade? I don't even want to trade a 2nd, let alone our best defense prospect for Kerfoot.

and I don't think the Leafs should pay that much for him, because he does not really cover a need.

Domi IS NOT going to the leafs.

He's gonna be traded to a team that wants him as a 2C, not a winger.
No reason why Bergevin would devalue his asset by trading him to a team looking for a winger.

Seeing how much TML fans are excited to have received a mid first round pick for Kapanen, they would scream their adoration for the GM to get a 1st and Domi for Nylander.

Habs take it and run.

yet domi has put up a 70 point season and nylander hasn't and domi plays center and nylander doesnt, and domi plays physical and nylander doesnt

He is more of a center than a winger. His 72 point season was when he was playing center. He is not happy about being a winger. Plus Domi to the Leafs would be stupid from a Montreal standpoint because they are in the same division. But, he is going to get traded soon, I believe.

So are we going to go by the outliers for all our opinions? Nylander is only a 30 point winger because that one season where he was on the 3rd after missing a third of the season under a coach who punished him for who knows why. Just like Domi had one good season and then resorted back to his medium which is and has been much less than Nylander who most recently was on a pace of 70 points and almost 40 goals. Just trying to be clear.

I am referring to you calling the guy with 221 points in 307 games TWICE the player as the guy with 251 points in 375 games when the later player plays a premium position and also brings a physical element to the game and is only 1 year older.
