Pacioretty vs Tatar Suzuki 2nd round pick lmao

Okay. That's a bit better for an example. Pax got a former 13OA pick, a 2nd and a dump player that Vegas had no use for (Tatar). So, basically a first and a second. Stone got a former first round pick and a 2nd.

Why does Danault get a former first round pick and a high first when 2 better players didn't?

Maybe you add them to the ignore list but 3 days ago when we did the first post there was a couple 4-5 Jets fans agreeing on the trade

I didn't see that thread. But you do realize people are allowed to have different opinions right?

Any Jet fan I've seen (with 2 exceptions) on this board and a couple others have been completely against involving 10OA for Danault.

Suzuki Brannstrom are worth that 10th and Vesalainen is a late first

Vesalainen was 24OA, Branstrom was 15OA and Suzuki was 13OA. So, all comparable players, considering Danault isn't as good as Stone or Pacioretty.

So adding a 2nd to Vesalainen would be fair and comparable value to our two comparable trades. In other words no need for 10OA to be involved. Ves and a 2nd is fair value.

Now Montreal doesn't have to trade him for that as that is their prerogative. But there is no justification for Danault being worth 2 first round picks.

MTL trade you Ryan Poehling + 2nd round pick vs Ehlers who’s a 2 line winger ( center have more value than winger ) so fair trade

Sure as long as you'll trade Suzuki who is a 2C for Lowry (centers have more value) and a second. So fair trade.

Teams need

WPG need a 2C badly, they won’t have any good option at C at 10th and they get a top 5ish best defensive forward in the league who could sign at 5-5M-6M for 6-7 years

Id rather sign haula and keep 10th oa,

I think they mean only if Lundell, Rossi, and Perfetti are gone, which would mean a much weaker group of prospects who they could pick. Winnipeg is targeting a 2nd line center to play behind Scheifele and Danault perfectly fits that bill. If I were Winnipeg I would go for it, they're built to win now or very soon so I don't see the pick helping them as much as a proven NHL player.

I'm not saying they cant move the pick I just don't think this is the deal. They could sign haula and get 3/4th of danaults production and versatility and still have the 10th pick in the draft.

Danault is miles away better defensively than Haula tho

Danault has a much more complete game. Haula may have similar production but he lacks the overall skills of Danault.

Would you rather have danault or have haula and draft Quinn or holtz or lundell in addition.

Lundell Holtz won’t be there, so do you want a real 2C who carried is line defensively ( Tatar and Gallagher aren’t good defensively ) or a 3C to play 2C ? You’ll have your 2C for years
But if you think Quinn will be NHL ready to replace Wheeler in 3-4 years, it’s your call

If no good centers (Rossi, Perfetti, Lundell) are available at pick 10, it would be smarter for the Jets to trade for Danault. So yes I do think Danault is more valuable to the Jets current roster than Haula and the 10th overall pick.
GMs liked this.
