You'd be better off moving Domi out for futures on your own and adding them to your proposal for Mantha. Still probably not gonna be enough, Wings would need something crazy like Suzuki + Romanov + 1st to be motivated to trade him

just curious : How much do you value Mantha. He certainly is not elite. For habs, he has value since our team lacks size and lacks snipers. But he's not a Laine imo.
Would you do it for 2 first, and a 2nd (but without Domi and Mete) ?

Look, the habs need a player Sniper with size and top 6. There are not many of them. That is why you are seeing a lot of... Mantha, Hall, Laine, etc trades . Who else is available that fits this need. Tarasenko ? Ovechkin ? Stamkos ? Don't think so. Player has to want playing in Montreal also. Mantha is local. Do you realize that in this lineup, what was our 1st line in previous year becomes our 3rd line. Not bad !

Don't mean to be impolite but are you very young of age ?

First, why don't you mention the 1st pick and the 2nd pick that I added. You just mention Domi. A 16 OA pick could easily turn out to be a Mantha. Mantha is not a generational talent. Also, it is possible that Mantha is not incline to go through the massive rebuild the wings have to undergo and would sign the shorthest term possible with the wings. Are you certain that this is not so ? Have you tought about it ? You only rely on Wings fan saying they don't want to trade him. I am sure GM consider many options. So here's 3 questions for you. Let's say you are Detroit GM. a)How many years you think until Detroit becomes a contender ? b)Do you see Mantha as an first class leader around which you build a team. c)Would you accept three 1st pick for Mantha. I hope you won't answer : ''You just donT' get it. Wings will not trade Mantha''. Please....try.

A couple of things. First it really doesn't matter how I or The Wings value Mantha WHEN THEY DON'T WANT TO TRADE HIM. It's not like me or another Wings fan on this site is trying to force him down your throat 15 times a day for more than he is worth. Second and this one you might want think about for a while because I think the concept is going to be hard for you to grasp because you are having so much trouble with Detroit doesn't want to trade Mantha. As soon as you start to argue how not good or bad he is it completely undermines your argument for wanting him it’s called a logical fallacy. Plus it doesn’t make you look very bright.

My post mentionned, right from the start that a trade COULD be possible if Mantha was not interested in signing long term with Detroit.
What you are saying is that , no matter if Mantha wants to sign long term or not with the wings, you are still not listening to any offers. Ok.

Totally agree with you. There is physical age and mental age. When someone responds to my thread with something like '''You dont realky grasp the essence of his message, do you?

May I suggest you read it again? Out loud maybe?''' This tells me the mental age of this person is on the lower side. The guy could be 60 years old, doesn't make a difference.
