loads of cap space, add a veteran cup winner to help the extreme youth learn what it takes, get a free pick out of it

Oh yes. The good old Vancouver fan post trying to get rid of Beagle, Roussel and Erikson without paying anything significative in return like if the others teams wanted their horrible contracts.

You need a capdump class. This is not how you do it.

yeah I'll just make a Marleau for a 1st like the "pros" pull off...

An AHL player with pedigree who's stock is really rising, a defensively responsible penalty killing vet with a lower salary than cap hit that can help a youthful team, and a 2nd round pick. If you're telling me there's no GM in league history that would take this then I think you need a history lesson.

I like how your history lesson doesn't include any comparables 🙄

Dude, what you are describing isn’t worth $36 mil of caphit...

All these deals are 100% fair IMO.

Its funny how no one gives Beagle or Roussel credit for the players they are. I dont believe they have negative value at all like some AGms seem to. Both players have valuable intangibles that dont show up on the scoresheet. Both scored big goals in Game 6 vs St. Louis. Tenacious, great penalty killers, leaders on and off the ice.

Kings have no need for Beagle. They are going to give their younger players a lot of ice time this next year to sort things out. The Kings can just resign Lewis if they want to have a vet in the bottom six.
