The only thing I’d interest in the Columbus trade is 15th OA... it would depend on how management views Merzlinkins and his future with the team.

I dont think Columbus does this. Korp and Merz have been good surprises for them and honestly i think they plan to keep the tandem. Now that said im not sure either is good for us as I believe its Columbus system that makes there numbers good. Case in point Bobrosky.

Columbus declines. The Blue Jackets don't need middle-6 at best forwards like Kerfoot and Johnsson. We're looking for top-6 forwards, preferably a true 2C. Someone like William Nylander would fit the bill. This deal does not address our needs. Good day to you, sir or madam.

Personally, I don't see a deal involving Elvis. He's exempt from the expansion draft, which gives Columbus a lot of flexibility. If one of the two gets moved, it'll more likely be Korpi. If Toronto wanted to do something like Nylander and 15OA for Anderson, Korpi, and Savard (and maybe a prospect like Vehvilainen), I could see that being of interest.

I wouldn’t say instant rejection. It would have to be thought about. Because I don’t see us keeping Kerfoot or Johnsson. So it would all come down to how Jarmo and company views Merzlinkins.
