I think you have to add for Danaut, value’s pretty fair but MB isn’t in any rush to trade him and he’s one of the best defensive center in the league. I think a fair value will be Chytil + Carolina’s first as a starter (if kap got Hallander and 15th ov) then you add a piece like Lias anderson or another pic like a 2cnd

Rangers fans are not going to like this but if the Rangers called MB about Danault. MB says 1st OVA for Danault + Montreal's 2020 1st. Rangers would just say no but realistically that is what MB would say if asked about Danault

Why does he lose him exactly? Cause Danault said that he doesn't want to have a strictly defensive role. That he wants to continue to develop his offensive game. MB can simply upgrade the wingers on the third line and create 3 solid lines with great 2 way games and have Evans or Poehling center Byron and Lehkonen on the 4th line as a shutdown line. Danault said exactly the same types of things that Laine said when he was looking for an extention. That does not mean that Danault will leave. How many other players throughout the history of the NHL have said that they want to be the best and continue to develop a part of their game that was not as strong as another part or they want a bigger role and did not request a trade? Every player wants a bigger role, they all want to be the guy!
