Keslers deal is insured so they don’t really have a reason to move it for a lesser return. And they definitely dont pay a 1st and Manson. Kerfoot, while a nice 3C doesnt do as much for the Ducks as Manson so they have no reason to do this at all

80% of Kesler's contract is insured. So there is a cash savings of $2.67m for the Duck in moving him.

Hawks laugh at that. Crawford, a better goalie by all measurements, can be signed for cheaper for 2 years (instead of 1 year for Anderson) and not cost us any picks or players to do it. Think about that

It's actually 2,670,000 reasons to move him. Not in the deal above - that's horrendous, but wouldn't be surprised if he comes into play for "cap retention" (player whose cap hit is higher than actual salary) + late draft assets this off season. For example, the third wheel in a Brandon Sutter deal out of VAN or Bozak out of STL.
