Laine value isnt much off of that, i would be willing to over pay to bring in a player of that level, maybe not as much as whats in the deal here but close. I would have suzuki on the top line tho not KK i think it would be a better fit.
As for trading gallagher i dont know if mtl would trade him but thats for sure an enticing trade. He is in no way untradeable and if we could get value for him i would much rather move him instead of paying him as a 30 goal scorer. He scores 30 goals purely off effort and drive he's not someone that capitalizes on slot chances, and if you add those winger swith caufield coming up gallagher is going be bumped to the third line sooner rather than later, which will further drop his production and then you are stuck paying 5+mil (assuming the options are trade him or resign him) for a third line winger. Bottom line is mtl never wins with the top line we had for most of this season and if that edmonton deal was an option it would be strongly considered.

Agree signing Koivu is redundant at that point, Evans can easily slot in as 4th line center.

As a habs fan i would welcome these moves because the thing i want to see more than anything else is Carey Price holding the cup.

1. You’re probably right this is too much for Laine but i think he would be a perfect fit for the habs. He is big, he is young and he can score a lot of goals. He and Kk would dominate for the next 10+ years.
2. I like Gallagher but I think we should him while he has some good value. Puljujarvi and the 1st have high chances to be better than Gallagher will ever be.
3.Koivu would be a mentor to kk, Suzuki and the rest of the young players.

laine is a good fit but u overpaid by a mile
gallagher is the heart and soul of the team
people act like puljujarvi is going to be an all star and they forget that he was garbage in edmonton and he is most likely a bust
puljujarvi is the most overrated player and he isnt even in the nhl
