No way Holtby signs for that little... at the very least he'll match the 6.5 million he's currently making. Also, Hallander isn't ready for the NHL yet... he's only 19 and has no experience in North America. He's at least a year away.

The Leafs could get more than that for Andersen if they really wanted to trade him.

Calgary ain't doing that. Too many cheaper goalie options. AJ fits no need in Calgary are ready stacked on the left side. Plus Dube was great in the playoffs and is much cheaper.

Calgary could sign anyone of 5 ufa goalies and keep SB, DD and the 2nd round pick for roughly the same cap as AJ and Freddy.

Zero incentive for Calgary to entertain that before free agency.

I think that De Melo is going to get at least $3.5 million for 4 years. And @NR1203 is right: Holtby should get more.

I do like Kerfoot not for 2 3rds but maybe the there is some room to negotiate. Plus it's just one more nail in the coffin of Domi to Detroit.

Kerfoot stinks, he's not worth anything. 9 goals and 19 aaossts and 28 points is worth nothing more then a prospect coming back to us for taking on his contract

I would have to disagree about Demelo. He's a great defensive player, but the problem with the market for defenceman is that they get paid for their points and Demelo doesn't put up many. He's not a sexy player. I think he would be lucky to get above 3 million.. especially now that the cap is flat and the entire FA market will be depressed a little bit.

Let's remember this when the dust settles. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong if I am because I've been signing him to my CF teams for $3.75 million or $4 million for 4 or 5 years.

Aside from what Tampa Bay does, and where Pietrangelo goes, who signs De Melo and for what is one of my most interesting questions for this off-season.
