I'd be willing to remove Domi and Hanifin. But Suzuki stays, if there's a Gaudreau deal to be made.

the left side in MTL is fairly weak right now. and I know you have prospects but MTL showed they could win now and Hanafin would help that. although you do lose suzuki... so nvm. idk

I feel like Domi++ is much more likely than Suzuki+ since Suzuki looks like he could be our first true 1C in over a decade.

Suzuki isn’t going anywhere. Gaudreau is a good player but not for Suzuki or kotkaniemi

I'd rather keep Bennett than sign Pitlick. Monahan for Ehlers is interesting, I'd be interested in that if we can get a replacement top 6 C for Johnny (ideally a true 1C better than Monahan). I don't think that's enough going Calgary's way in the Montreal trade, and they won't want to part with Suzuki, who we would require coming back, so I just really don't think there's a fit with Johnny to Montreal. I don't know if Boston accepts, but if they do I would make that trade. I love Gio but he's old, and trading him is the biggest wake up slap to this team. It would also allow Chucky to be made captain with no weird feelings. Love the Stars trade, maybe with him in the lineup we will actually be allowed to start signing/trading for more Russians lmao. Overall I don't hate much of it, I just don't think it improves the team all that much. The defense is significantly worse, neither Domi nor Suzuki is likely to be as good as Monahan (next year, Suzuki might eventually) and while Ehlers is a really good player he doesn't have 100 point potential.

Suzuki’s not going anywhere. Habs have been without a true number 1 centre for too long. Now that we’ve got 1a &1b neither is going anywhere.

Suzuki at his age, position and defensive play added to his legit top line center potential makes his value higher than JG. Just fyi
