    Prospect + 2nd
    -or-
1st (unlikely because everyone knows he wants out)

    2nd + 3rd

Got to make up for all the picks traded away last year.

I just can’t comprehend what drives these players’ motivations. Like how much would any other team wanted to pay him for his last contract. He hasn’t really done anything except for 1 good season.
He reminds me of the Ryan Johanssen situation. Jackets got Seth Jones in return for him. Obviously Anderaon won’t return anything near Seth. But Jarmo is fairly adept at getting good return. He can play other teams against each other for the highest return. I thing Anderson’s upside and size, grit, speed, and hands/skill are very good for a big power forward. He can provide many teams a heavier and grittier presence than most smaller guys or European players nowadays. Many teams would be interested. I think a 2nd and prospect or a 2nd and a 4th would be a good return for him.

I could see a trade that’s Anderson for Boston’s 1st working out for both teams. Though I will warn you that Anderson wants a 3x3 contract.

I’m sorry... but what? 3m for which Anderson? And who has to make up for jarmo spending like a drunken sailor?

    ... a 1st???? Are you kidding me?

I’m sorry guys but this is ridiculous. I will say at least you didn’t ask for a 2c...

He did ask for a trade... Columbus doesn’t want to move him. I didn’t say jarmo would pay him that much. This is also coming after Pittsburgh trade 15th OA + for Kapanen.... yes Anderson has a bad season, he’s also an RFA and Columbus has NO REASON to trade him.... if you don’t like then don’t offer on him.

I'd take a draft pick. I don't know what his value is right now, I'd love to believe you could get a 2nd for him, but I'd be fine with a prospect and like a 6th rounder depending on how good the prospect is.

I didn’t offer on him. You will notice that I typically don’t in my agm’s. But if someone inquired on a leafs or flames player I would try to be reasonable. Kappy’s contract situation is much different. If anything I would say it may not be wise to sell low on Anderson. But really it’s a ****ty spot for the jackets. Do they sign him in a 1 yr deal and risk him walking ufa after a good year. Or do they sign him to a multi year deal and risk having another bad contact.

I think you may be able to get a 3rd. I think this is a situation where the new CBA rules hurt teams. I mean I could see getting and additional second back if they resign him (assuming that this is a 1year sign and trade) still don’t understand them removing that condition. It makes no sense to me.

They do have a reason to trade him... asked for a trade. Torts has already expressed in his interviews in the past about panarin and bob that he wants players who want to be there.

I mean I said unlikely to a first. Josh Anderson is the knock off version of Tom Wilson. Players like that are difficult to find. So due to the rarity and considering Wilson is getting over 5mil. If teams were attempting to get him to sign a qualifying offer I would assuming he would be signing something between 3.5 and 4.5 mil (because if they went any lower Columbus may match it) which would be either a 1st + a 3rd (4.2+) or a 2nd. So in other words my initial request was a 2nd + a prospect and I still think that is a fair evaluation. However if a team picking low in the first round want to throw that pick in then it is an obvious decision.
