These are better

Flip the 3rd and 5th on goalie swap. And make the second 5th from Dallas a conditional based on games played.

You are crazy on the value you think Mrazek has if you think hes worth more than Andersen. Even with a retained Mrazek, thats a trade very much in favor of the Canes.

I still think St. Louis adds a minor piece. Can't see the Leafs giving up 5 assets for only 2 years of Parayko. The Muzzin deal the made will be the comparable, so I could see something like this happening, just add in a depth piece to Toronto.

lol no way. St. Louis probably doesn't take this. Would you trade 2 years of Rielly for anything close to this? Probably not

That's not a comparable situation tho... The Leafs dealing away D wouldn't be dealing from an area of strength.
They don't also have Dunn, Faulk, and Scandella, plus they aren't trying to make cap space to re-sign Pietro.

If the team didn't have the financial flexibility and there was a bigger impending free agent, yes. Not saying the Blues aren't a rich organization, but they're not one of the top teams in that regard. Add in that Pietrangelo is an impending free agent and Parayko will cost a lot more on his next deal and yeah it's worth considering. If that was Toronto's situation then yes I'd think that highly consider it

Zero chance, dude. And even if it was possible to pry him away, the offer above would be laughed off.

2 B prospects at minimum, a guaranteed NHLer that can put up 20 goals and 40-50 points minimum, plus a C prospect and another pick? ... Parayko's good but if you think he's way better than that you need to rethink a lot of things. He's not worth THAT much with 2 years left on his deal.

Muh huh. Even if you take that offer out of context, it's a classic quantity vs. quality. I'm not sure how anyone could fail to see that. In context, it's completely wackadoodle.

Ok fine: would you take this for Marner? I wouldn't. Just because you're dealing from an area of strength doesn't mean that you don't seek a fair return. For a top pair RHD, I'm sure other teams would pay more than this. Hell, I'm sure the Leafs would offer more than this if they could get their hands on Parayko
