If the replacement is haula you might as well stick with strome. At least you know he fits in the line ups

IMO Johansson could still be a sleeper, make that pick a couple rounds later

I like Haula and getting that return is worth a switch up

Wild fans are writing him off. Trade is fine imo.

Or get Zona to bribe them to take the full 6.5m. Easy to do if they flip strome and ADA for futures.

Stepan doesn't add much value to this team IMO. I think this is too conservative to be realistic.

Do you think they'd think this to be a better team than last year? I don't see how aside from Laf who is joining the team anyway. Strome is better and younger than Haula. And if we're only trying to get a LHD that we can pick up in the bargain bin, I don't think we're serious about addressing that need. We have the assets to do more and there are players available that are better. Brodin, Dunn, etc.

Patience is key. John Davidson mentioned he wants to keep this as linear as possible.

Absolutely. I don't think we should chuck everything, but I think there are more solid long term pieces available that fit this offseason, that we can afford. I think you'll see a trade for Brodin, tbh.

He's a very deep sleeper then. He's been sleeping so hard he hasn't moved at all since he was drafted. sarcasm

What would you take from Calgary for Anthony DeAngelo?
