Why are people obsessed with trading for Korpisalo? I get that Andersen could be traded and I understand why, but Korpi isn't a great option. He's 26, only has 2 years left on his deal and was honestly pretty mediocre this season. His trade value has gotten way too high and he's become overrated because of the playoffs.

While I agree, I do see a lot of teams being interested as his playoff performance can show you where his potential is. Its also a budget friendly option with an upside. Im not saying do the trade just that I can understand why teams might be interested

Except the Blues are in their contender window. They aren't looking to wait around for someone to develop into NHL talent

You realize the Blues could trade other players, or they're prepared to let Petro walk to be under the cap. Not sure how cap crunch = gotta trade Parayko

Ok apparently you never paid attention this season at all. Korpisalo was selected as an all star this year. But got hurt and couldn’t play. So yeah, it wasn’t just the playoffs, although he really took his game up a notch. Korpisalo is probably the most under rated goalie in the trade or UFA market. The only reason Columbus is considering moving him is because Elvis is just as good and the pipeline is full of more good goalies coming.

Right. . . so you want the Blues to take picks, with the idea in mind that they have to then turn around and trade them again for something of value??? Why don't you give me $20 and I'll give you schrute bucks. You just gotta trade those for food.

Do you really think I would say he was mediocre without stats and facts to back me up? In the playoffs, he was great, that's just a fact, but he wasn't that good in the season. Playing behind one of the best defensive teams in the league, he had a save percentage of only 0.911. His -8.94 GSAx was one of the lowest in the league as was his dFSv% of -0.64. He was worth 1.2 WAR which was only 36th in the league and he struggled with medium danger shots. The only reason he was an All-Star was because of a bunch of wins he got leading up to the game and the fact that CBJ didn't have anyone playing lights-out at the beginning of the season. He's still somewhat young and the playoffs showed that he could become a good goalie, but he just wasn't great this season.

Just sayin, there are like 10 other guys the Blues could trade to make cap room for Pietrangelo. There is no rule against having both guys on the team, it actually works pretty well with both.

Good luck moving bozak and others without sweetening the crap out of it

At where the team is at right now, I'd rather see them sweeten a deal and have good players than have some draft picks and bad ones (simplification). The contracts to move are 1 year long and they're overpaid players that can still play. It wouldn't be impossible to trade Allen and Bozak.

The whole team struggled early but he got his game back in order and was dominating games. No he got an all star invite because he was really good. I watched every game last season. Every game the Jackets played. The win he got during that “hot streak” the Jackets has no business winning he practically stole those games.
