The trade not happening would've impacted the Rangers more than the Bruins.

The return for Nash also included Spooner, who was dealt to the Oilers for Strome. The first pick they got was traded to move up in the draft for K'Andre Miller.

Bruins wouldn't have looked much different; Lindgren would probably be below a couple of guys on the depth chart and whoever they would've picked at 26 was likely not going to be a first time player by this point.
