While I don't see a need for a backup for the Leafs, the value is fair.

Buffalo declines mittelstadt is better than Andersson and it is not worth it for Buffalo to move down in the draft

I can't imagine Toronto trading that draft pick for anything other than immediate help at RD, like De Angelo or Fox, and I can't imagine Rangers moving Fox

Leafs are getting a 1st back though. In exchange for moving down ~10 spots in the draft, they get Georgiev

Even assuming that Georgiev is worth 10 spots in the draft (which I personally don't), neither Georgiev nor the first are immediate help at RD.

kapanen just got 15th overall.. any of those players you gets #2 overall this year and more top picks next year.. but yeah buff declines this deal still just because it doesn't fit the needs of the team. Maybe a three way trade where you get an actual good defenseman for kreider but who knows

Dont use kapanen as trade value. Rutherford is an idiot and everybody knows it. Kapanen would have been lucky to get a 1st round pick from any other team in the league.
And obviously the players I stated wouldnt be straight up for 8oa. I'm just saying if buf wouldnuse then8oa it would be for an impact player not an aging lw. Krieder belongs to some contender that can fortify the top 6 not a team on the rise.

And I'm confused what your saying about a 3way trade. Buf does not need defense they were a top 10 D team last year. They need help up front and can use a solid backup G
