Your downgrading at goalie and getting older? Did Vasy's value fall off a cliff?

Two cliffs actually. One when they signed him for a 9.5Mx8 extension that starts next year and one when COVID happened and they announced a flat cap for the next 3-4 years.

Vasilevsky is a top 10 goalie but 9.5M is simply too much to pay for a goalie.

Vasilevsky puts up a 0.920 sv% whereas Georgiev puts up a 0.910 sv%. Georgiev will likely get paid ~3M.

So your paying 6.5M for one stop in every hundred shots (~ one goal every 3 games).

Georgiav is also an RFA once he has his last RFA contract he will get PAID.

Are you not joking? Because if you aren’t, this is real bad.

No. I'm not joking. I'm simply using analytics to stay cap compliant while keeping the team as strong as possible.

Georgiev wouldn't get 4M even if he was a UFA.

Do you really think 1 goal every 3 games is worth 5.5M+?

I definitely rather Sergachev than 1 save in every 100 shots.
