Leafs finally get their shut down RHD. Not 100% sure on what AAV & term Lightning wouldn't match since both teams are pretty tight to the cap, so let me know what you think. I could also see Tampa trading Cernak for Dermott+, in my opinion.

You didnt do very well in grade school math did you? Needs 5 more players for a fleshed out roster of 22, $700,000 is league min, 3.5 mil cap space needed. He has 91,467 to spare.

I see you liked my reply and I dont want you to get me wrong. There's a lot of other issues with only having this much cap space and you can't rely on having 5 league min contracts as the Leafs have signed both Lehtonen and Barabonov to more. The first guy was just an idiot who didn't put any thought in before he replied.

Agreed, I think the Leafs may have to sacrifice Kerfoot/Johnsson in order to sign Mikheyev and fill out their roster. I was just presenting Cernak as an interesting target for the Leafs this offseason.

A filled out roster is 23 not 22.

Is also irrelevant, teams have shown no issues playing with rosters of 22 players.
