You're right they don't have the same value. Mitts has more value because a pk specialist is a dime a dozen

I’ve said this over and over. We get it he’s from Buffalo, but why on earth would VGK do any of these moves? I’m not doing Tuch for Montour straight up, or even a 2nd added on

Kid is 20 let him grow we don't need your 30+ defensive guy. We could have larsson have that role. Please. Get out of here with your bias logic. The dude is a glorified 3c with no offensive talents. You could find that type of player all throughout ufa. Eller is not worth a developing former 8oa

Well hate to break it to you. “Mitts” is 21 and will be 22 by the time next season starts lmfao. Maybe know your players before spewing idiotic nonsense. Eller just scored 39 points in 69 games. “Mitts” as the 8oa (not that it matters he’s still an awful player) has 39 points in 117 games. HARD PASS. Yeah Eller was on a 46 point pace. We don’t need a failure when we have a great 3c. Btw. Eller would be your 2c lmfao. 😂😂. He’s a defensive center that was on pace for 46 points I’ll take over a life long AHLer.

Like no other players have taken long to develop. Shmaltz stromes etc. He got rushed in a bad position and had no teammates to play with.
Like I said you can find an eller in ufa

The guy couldn’t do a single pull up lol. For every 1 player you can name the worked out there’s 2 that haven’t. Again established 3c > 21 years old that has shown 0 promise. Common sense use it sometime.

Actually, you literally can’t. Eller scored more points this year than any UFA center, and of the 4 UFA centers who scored 30+ points, none of them got even a minute per night on the PK. What Eller did this year putting up 39 points while having an average SH TOI/game of 2:26 is rare even in the league as a whole, let alone amongst UFAs. The only centers who topped both of those marks this year were Zibanejad, Cirelli, and Danault.

Dude is a career 30 pt center. And a defensive specialist. Those players aren't rare. He had a great year this year. Nobody is over paying for one great year especially for a 31yo.

A 31y/o center thats a career 30pt guy. Is worthless why would a team not just sign a ufa that does the same thing. Use some common sense.

Lol this season Eller would have been you 4th best forward in points. How many centers do you think are available in FA this year. Think it’s funny you are trying to diminish Eller but he would be your 2c easily in buffalo. Ttyl 🤡

I feel like you didn’t actually read my post, but I’ll try again. Over the last three years Eller has 113 points in 231 games, which is a 40 point pace. He’s been playing at this level for three years. Since you’ve provided absolutely no evidence to corroborate your claim that players like Eller are common, why don’t you name some of them? How many guys can you think of that scored at, lets be generous and say at least a 35 point pace last year while getting at least 2 minutes a night shorthanded? Since they’re so common it shouldn’t be hard, right?

Edit: I should also add, Eller's durability is also a huge factor. He's literally the only player in the NHL to put up over 100 points in the last three seasons while also playing more than 500 minutes shorthanded. The guy who came closest to matching that feat was Blake Coleman, who was traded this year for a 1st round pick and Nolan Foote, who was a 2019 1st round pick. Clearly that guy had a lot of value despite just being a "30 point defensive specialist."
