Rangers will not trade Georgiev for just a 2nd and 3rd round pick. He's too valuable to the Rangers to trade for such a low price. Throwing in Andersson just lowers Georgiev's value even more. NYR is not trading Andersson until his trade value increases. Which his trade value will most certainly increase when he puts up great scoring numbers in the SHL next season. Why would Gorton trade Andersson "now" when he has such low trade value?

They desperately do. Especially right handed ones cause their depth in the organization is terrible for the position. But a lateral move from Kerfoot to Strome isn't worth adding Dermott. This deal is an easy decline.

Yup. It's a small upgrade but he's going to cost more on the cap
