I would think the Sharks would be tempted, if we could sign him to a reasonable deal.

With one of Bergevin's favorite mottos being "attitude is everything" I doubt he has much interest in trading for DeAngelo.

Also he isn't going to be trading KK.

deangelo's attitude is fine. been great in the locker room, very well liked by his team mates. he is only look down on by the media because he is a vocal trump supporter. reality is there is a lot more trump supporters in hockey, their just silent about it.

So 2 different NHL teams decided to give up on him for less than optimal value, despite his good production, and that has nothing to do with his attitude ?

Maybe he's been better in New York but I still doubt Bergevin has him on his wishlist.

only tampa gave up on tony. arizona didn't want to include him in the trade but the rangers demanded it. anything that happened with him is when he was 18-19 years old. a right handed Dman that can play pp1 is always in high demand. the rangers are luckily they happen to have 3 and maybe a 4th coming to the league next season.

FYI, Arizona got first line center and a number 1 goalie in return. deangelo showed it was a mistake to trade him.

That's definitely true, no team got full value for DeAngelo but you know full well that Stepan was not a legit no.1 Centerman. He was a very good number 2 and Raanta was that year's Georgiev. 7OA and a B prospect should have been more than enough. They shouldn't have been forced to add a defenseman who was putting up stats that would've been good for a forward. If there was no issue he should have been untouchable.

Also given how Bergevin dealt with Subban I don't think ADA is the type of player he wants to target.

of course now stepan isn't a 1c but at the time he was. very good 2 way centerman.

When I refer to a 1C I mean a top 20 or so centerman like Crosby, McKinnon, McDavid, Scheifele, Barkov etc.

I feel Stepan compared better a tier lower as a "2C" with guys like Plekanec, Kadri, Schenn, Mikko Koivu and Backes.
