And for the 3 thousandth time, no to the wings deal, leafs overvalue their first round playoff exits more then anyone else. Nobody wants your garbage for 2nd round picks, keep dreaming

With the draft as deep as it is this year trading the 13OA for a one year rental is ridiculous. If Carolina was going all in this year then mayyybe but they are not

31 spots in a draft from 2nd round to 1st round costs a lot, even more so in this draft. Andersen doesnt come close to the difference in draft positions to warrant that move. That is why it is bad.

I'm starting to see a pattern that the norm for toronto fans is to completely overvalue their players, not the exception.

Austin Mathews for Steen, Bozak, Faulk, and Sundquist.

Nylander for Mrazek and a 7th rounder.

But what your not taking into consideration is that if the trade happens after Anderson bonus is paid his actual salary is only $1M That is very appealing to a team like CAR

Carolina goes from having an amazing pick where they might be able to draft the best goalie prospect in a long time to a 2nd rounder because 1yr of andersen where the pay him 1M of salary is worth it

They are still int he bottom 3 in revenue so $4M in actual money means something to them

Maybe if you do a 1 for 1 goalie swap, but I don't see CAR throwing that first in there

Alternatively, Toronto fans could put together actual trades and not EASports garbage that have already been listed 25+ times. And you could try not pissing your pants when people call out ridiculous trades about acgm's on capfriendly
