He was very good. Played like a top pairing guy at times and a good #3 otherwise. I have no complaints with pionk. I was mad about the trade but I’m not complaining now as we might have gotten 2 top pairing guys for one lol

That said, Trouba is and will be better than both imo. Losing him was a hit regardless. Hi contract is probably 500k-1M too much but he’s very good. Cut him some slack. I feel especially bad for him now that he has to play with one of smith/staal for a whole year. That said, I don’t feel too bad, he’s the one that left WPG and the opportunity to play on an elite pairing with Morrissey
