I like it

Niskanen is one of those dman who can play till hes 40 and still be good. Could take a discount on his next contract should they decide to extend him.

The only deal I see happening is the Devils deal and I don't know that they would agree to that

Philly just wants Pittsburgh’s picks to rub it in if they’re good :P

Flames decline though we don’t need LD

That’s actually a pretty good deal. Both teams are giving up a player they don’t want to lose. Good job

As a flyers fan i'm not big on these deals besides the NJ deal and Calgary deal. Winnipeg deal I like, but I have an emotional attachment to Provy haha. I mean Laine is cool and all, but I don't know, I think Provy would be more valuable to this team than even a sniper like Laine. Plus Provy is locked up longer than Laine is. Sanheim is a great 2nd pair, but we rely a lot on Provy, and he would be missed greatly.

As for Pietrangelo, just not very interested. Great Player, but I'd rather keep a young Provy on the back end for years to come on the Left. Use that Pietrangelo money to lock up Taylor Hall to be our sniper instead of trading Provy for Laine.

Konecny for Brodin, I don't love, just because I love TK, but I mean it is fair.

Like I said all your trades seem fair value for the most part, and in the short term it'd make us more competitive. I just worry about handing 30 year olds 9 mil AAV for 7 years or so and then not getting the same production after half the contract is over, if that! I mean look at the Sharks situation alone, but there are countless other stories just like it. Those contracts just never hold up well over time. Seem like more of them are disappointments than work out.

I would also add attaching a pick to Voracek and try to find a suitor. Although he's a leader and I think a big part of our offense, he's far too inconsistent, try to get rid of him now before he's un-tradeable all together. What if we called the Canadiens and trade to get the rights to Domi? I don't know just throwing things out there.
