That Pens deal is lopsided for the Leafs.

Why would Ottawa do that? They don't need a 31 year old rental goalie.

Do Leafs fans need us Blues fans to turn this Parayko trade down every time its posted or should we just read it and move on?

There would be a bidding war on Georgiev so the Leafs would have to pay more than what is offered at the moment. If they do end up securing Georgiev's contract, then his extension would be around 3 million per year cap hit over three years (cap hit percentage less than Murray when he signed his extension but he won cups so he got that bit of a boost).

Same could be said for Parayko. If he were to be available for trade then a lot of teams would zero in on him. May have to give a little more to secure his contract.

Andersen can definitely get more than only a 2nd round pick. A low 1st round pick and maybe either an okay prospect or a cost controlled roster player would be more likely. Depending on when he is traded, the Leafs may be able to acquire more assets (all the goalies in free agency were snatched up and the pending UFAs got re-signed by their respective teams, then there could be a potential bidding war amongst teams that are in need of a starter).

The others I can't comment on as I'm not familiar enough with the assets being traded for to form an opinion.

I think they still owe NSH future considerations for Nick Baptiste. That's what the bonus picks are probably for wink

Could very well be a possibility depending on when the goalies are traded. If the Rangers and Leafs wait until after free agency when the big name UFA goalies are snatched up then the teams that are looking for starters will be a little more desperate to secure Andersen and Georgiev.

It's been quite the flurry of the same trade lol. Oh well, these forums are for trade discussions so I can't get mad. I just like the ones with Nylander or Sandin or Robertson sprinkled in there happy. Stuff we could actually use.

It’s nauseating. One ****ty rumour and it’s the first thing they do in an agm before signing rfa’s.

Step 1. Input Parayko trade since we are just waiting on the trade to be filed with the league....

There are just way too many potential goalies available. Free agents like Lehner, Crawford, Markstrom, Talbot, Griess, and guys like Korpisalo, Murray, Georgiev, Andersen, Raanta or Kemper, could be made available. This isn't even a full list. The market for goalies is going to be wide open for teams I have a feeling.

Don’t forget Khudobin, Holtby, and Elliott! I doubt there will be a bidding war on any goalie, apart from maybe Lehner and Markstrom. If anything, everyone else will have to settle for less than market value due to the flat cap and the saturated market.

Speaking of goalies, stop trading them to Ottawa thanks. Especially 31yo rentals.

Great adds I totally forgot. Yes, I agree with you. Team's fans like New York, Leafs or Pens that think they are going to cash in big are in for a surprise, although Andersen for a 2nd is fair if not in Ottawa

Y'all are crazy. Andersen is one of the best goalies in the league. If Toronto is offering him over for a 2nd we take it. We could easily flip him for a much bigger return.

Bruh.

Its 33OA, and he Andersen is only on the books for 1 more year. Its an expensive price to rush the rebuild when we have developing goalie prospects. Pass. .
