Whatever the fastest record is for saying no an hanging up the phone, Dubas beats it when he gets this call.

Doesn't matter. This trade gives the Leafs 3 guys at positions they don't need. There's no incentive for them to make it. If a deal were to happen (unlikely between these 2 teams) it would start with DeAngelo then add more

I get that you are going with someone else’s trade. But this trade is garbage.

I’m sure you don’t agree with every rangers fan’s agm either.

Seeing as I am being dragged into this trade I will respond. Buchnevich is a small downgrade to Nylander in my opinion, Georgiev could be the goalie we are looking for and at almost half the price. Andersen needs a new contract and will likely be out of our price range. As for his record, his playoffs have been meh. Lemieux is a great 4th line player who will add some physicality and grit too our lineup. He is also still young.

Provided we can get Pesce for Andersen plus and can snag Anderson from the CBJ I would do that trade.

Buchnevich is a pretty big downgrade actually. & Leafs said they would only move Andersen if they could get an upgrade in net, Georgiev isn't that. Lemieux is a 4th line player as you point out, something that can easily be brought up from the minors or someone on a cheap deal. I'd take Clifford over Lemieux in that spot already. I'd rather give up on a 2nd for Clifford than Nylander for a backup goalie, 3rd line forward, and a bottom 6 guy. It doesn't make sense for Toronto to do it. They're looking to improve their defence. & a guy that can push the puck up the ice and fits Dubas' and Keefe's system would be DeAngelo. So that's where the deal would start. But as I said before, I don't see these teams lining up well for a trade at all
