Lmao, and Mcdavid is the starting point for nylander. See... we can both say dumb baseless things.

Parayko has 2 years left on his deal. Makes no sense to give up that much.

    sweet rebuttal.
Theres no doubt in my mind that the return for Parayko is closer to Nylander and it is Liljegren and overpaid Johansson.
    Truth hurts doesnt it

If Parayko had 4 years on his deal, you'd be right. But with only 2 left and the Blues trying to make room for Pietrangelo, the deal doesn't even sniff Nylander's name.

Look at what the Kings got for Muzzin. That's the comparable and the basis for a deal.

I just don't see Parayko moved. I think they will move on from Pietrangelo if he is not taking a discount

His name is Johnsson, and he is not overpaid. If blues take on nylander they lose both Parayko and petro.

You need to think things through before you start slinging ****.

I’m not even saying blues should trade Parayko just that the return you suggested is off. Ersonally I think they would be happier with no cap returned.

Dubas paid Johansson (as a 3rd liner) top dollar with term for a one year breakout, deal with it

That's absurd. Try again. It starts with Nylander, easily. Parayko is one of the best Dmen in the league (world). He's 27. He's right-handed. So what he has 2 years left? STL is going to pay him when they have to. They're not going to take less value just because he MIGHT test out Free Agency. Ridiculous

    gotta give to get.
TOR approaches STL in this deal, STL doesnt even listen unless they are certain they are winning the deal.
You dont think STL calls 29 other GMs and cant get a better offer than Liljegren/Johansson? yikkkesss. give your head a shake

They may, and I’m not saying they move CP either. They do have other options but that will cost them.

I still think petro stays one way or the other. But that is a money issue so I’m just guessing. Do they want him there? Yes more than any other player.

yep. I guess we will just call Mackinnon overpaid. How bout call the entire league overpaid tears of joy . Johnsson is not a 3rd liner. A middle six winger. High end third liner and low end second liner. Whats wrong with 3.4mil for 3 more years?

Dubas paid Johnsson.... as a 1st liner... Johnsson went to the first line when he started doing things like scoring a hat trick with meh line mates.

He’s a solid player that I hope the leafs hold on to. His chemistry with nylander is great.

I mean have you ever watched hockey?

I think Pietrangelo will probably be overpayed.

I think 7x8.5-9 is an overpay when we consider his age as well as the Josi benchmark who just signed a new contract, is younger and better. I think with that amount of money, a 5 year deal would be better

It’s not spell checking... you don’t even know his name.

    “Sweet rebuttal”
    “Truth hurts”

But doesn’t know the player’s name lol.

My feelings aren’t hurt. I think it’s funny when people who don’t have a clue what they are talking about try to argue with me.
