Gonna be honest man. I don't even think that package brings in Brodin alone

Hornqvist being moved is realistic. It's a bit of a luxury having him bottom 6 now and we desperately need to improve the D core

that COL deal made me laugh.

you think hornqvist (who will be 34yo by the time the season starts) with 3yrs at 5.3mil is worth a 3rd, you are out of your mind.
not to mention he cant stay healthy lol

After looking at what JR gave up for Zucker and Kapanen, I respect your optimism that JR is capable of winning a trade by that much.

I don't expect COL to make this move, but yikes if that is your evaluation of Hornqvist's play then that is brutal. He scored 130+ goals in those injured seasons you highlighted. There might not be a better net front presence in the league. If his contract was shorter it would be an even better player to have. And everyone on the Penguins is injured at all times so that just isn't a fair comparison tears of joy

In a salary cap league, being paid 5.3mil and sitting out 15-20 games per year isnt good value. Cant contribute in the playoffs sitting out injured.

You are also massively inflating his goal scoring ability. Hes only surpassed 22 goals once in the past 5 years (twice in the past 7).
All this while playing wing on a line centered by either Crosby or Malkin, that must be difficult XD
