Not completely thrilling news, but to be expected. A tough goalie market especially with Kuemper now a potential trade target, I would guess Murray is only getting a 2nd or 3rd rounder when GMJR is probably looking to add a roster player as well. I think the right decision is to trade Murray due to his age and how much he should make, but might be getting a better return for Jarry. Definitely not an easy move.

Rutherford has been saying that he has had a lot of conversations about his goalie for about a week.

Rutherford is also not interested in picks. I've said that Murray will get the value of his RFA compensation of "1st + 3rd" but he wants players of that value, not an actual 1st and 3rd.
