I would like Athanasiou in Ottawa but he isn't worth that much. To get rid of Neal's 3 remaining years at $5.75 million aav it'd probably be Athanasiou and an early 3rd at least.

This trade is attrocious.

CBrown > Athanasiou, so EDM has to add

To dump Neal will cost 1st+

To get picks coming back, and particularly the 33OA, I think EDM would have to add 14OA + Puljujarvi+

I don’t see why Ottawa would make this trade. Unless Edmonton gives Ottawa prospects, draft picks, or young nhlers Ottawa has no reason to take on these terrible contracts

So Edmonton dumps salary, throws in a player they may not qualify for two decent picks and a solid two way forward..... right.
