how much do you really think bennett and jankowski get you? dube + 1st for andersen is 100% reasonable do you understand how good andersen is? not to mention youre getting a reliable RHD and very good defensive 3C in this trade as well

Yeah he is a 30-40 goal scorer that is the better player, but it's not really substantial. And because of his reputation being outsized you would have to give him more money (he made Nylander money on a short bridge) and other pieces in Johnsson and the pick. I would rather not. Keep Nylander, get similar production at a lower cap hit, and move Johnsson in a different deal for cap/assets/a dman.

My theory. Of all the players mentioned it effects Parayko the most. Being the one with the least amount of term. I think the other factor is age. When the contract expires will they be a good candidate to re sign.

I think it boils down to years of control. Kerfoot and Johnsson both have 3 years of control. To me that is a nice amount of term. Good value for a trade chip but not a huge risk for the other team.

One other thing to mention.... Kapanen years of control.... 3years. When his contract expires he can go to arbitration sign a 1 yr deal and walk.
