Those are nice add-ons, but you are missing the main piece for a Laine deal.

Any deal for Laine cant include Pesce.

If we want Laine, Hamilton has to be traded (i.e pesce cant go anywhere). We can’t afford to re-sign Svech, Hamilton, and Laine in the same offseason.

This makes no sense for Carolina. We would have to move him when his contract is up bc of how much he'll want. would make more sense to go for ehlers bc he is a lesser name so it wouldn't be as expensive of a trade as laine and he is signed long-term for 6M which is good value for his production
