That should help the cap.

BTW why is Hartnell playing on the 4th line?

I'm more wondering why Gagner is #3RW. I'd expect Foligno to hop over to RW on that line and move up Hartnell and Calvert, and keep Gagner available just in case any of Bjorkstrand, Anderson, or Dubois end up having issues. (Also, that way we make sure that Dubois has Hartnell assisting him, which is a much better use of Hartnell's mentoring abilities - just look at what he's done for Dano and Wennberg in the past.)

EDIT: And JJ as #1LD over Murray? What the actual ****?

do you honestly think Dubois is going to make the team? Esepcecially just jump right in and be 3C. The kid started playing C half way through last season, I dont think hes ready to just jump in to be a Top 9 NHL C after only 40 odd games at the position.

He probably is going back to Junior, for the long term success of the franchise and his best interests to develop as a legit 1C. Letting him dominate at that postion for a full year before heading into the NHL isnt the worst idea

It's not impossible, especially given how he looked in Traverse City. I'm a little skeptical myself but prepared to be cautiously optimistic.

Hartnell on the 4th line will increase scoring throughout the lineup.

Gagner we know can score and handle 3rd line responsibilities. Anderson needs to earn his ice time.

I messed up on the defense. It should be Murray-Jones, Johnson-Savard, and Werenski-Prout.

Yeah, I do think PLD makes the team. He is useful in a variety of ways. He has the size. We will see in training camp, but right now he looks like he will at least get an audition.

If you need scoring from your 4th line then your team has major issues

More & more teams are now rolling 4 lines that can score and still play responsibly in the D zone. I do agree with Hartnell and Dubois together with another experienced player like Foligno. Put Gagner with the 4th line Karlsson & Anderson.

Hopefully this will help facilitate the end of Clarkson as an active roster player sooner rather than later. I just heard a video clip of Davidson in which he said the Clarkson contract is insured...because we all know theHorton contract was not insured.
